    This is my angle on the flat earth debate…...nothing academic…..only to open or close your eyes and visualize. All that I ask is for everyone to open their minds when reading this blog.

    No matter which object you choose, humans or basketballs, the earth is gigantic but I will choose the basketballs and round it up to one billion because calculations would be easier. One Billion is 1/7th the population of the earth which is easier to visualize. Now, if you were standing on one of the basketballs then it would be a very long chain of basketballs to encircle the earth.

    The Flat Earthers only view their model on a limited range of sight meaning that their view is from where they are standing and seeing that the railroad tracks don't bend and because it doesn't bend tells them that the earth is flat. I can stand wherever I go and view the world as flat because that is what my range of sight tells me but I know that view is only a tiny portion of the world that I live in.

    Visualize this…….Look at the basketball and imagine that you're tiny and a speck standing on it. What would you see in relation to your microscopic size….you'd see straight lines relative to your size at any point where you're standing. It all relates back to a person's or speck's range of sight.

    Now lets take the basketball and hold it up in the air and what do you see…..curves and lines that are not straight. Lets now say that the basketball inflates to a enormous size and you're standing on top of it….you'd see curved line in relation to the size of the ball. The bigger the ball inflates...the curvature will flatten out to the point whereby it would appear that you're standing on a flat surface. Your eyes have a limited range of vision and add the gigantic size of the Earth then you see why every place you go ….you are seeing everything flat.

    Compared to the planet Earth, you are a tiny portion of its immense size and there are two sides to any arguments. Flat Earthers can believe their flat earth theory but there are other that don't and we should just agree to disagree with each other.
