Tom Hanks wants you to believe that U-Boats during WWII were responsible for sinking convoy ship carrying vital supply to Britain to aid the war efforts. Now the question is…..are the torpedos used to sink the convoy really that accurate and that fast as portrayed in the movie??? Remember...this is 1940’s so the technologies needed to make a WATER BASED MISSILE is pretty primitive but the movie shows that they can be propelled by a battery and that the torpedos are light enough to stay submerged while travelling at a high velocity on its way to the target. My guess is the battery alone had to weigh a fair bit knowing that they used lead acid batteries in the 40’s.

So...is this a historic account of the events featured in the movie GREYHOUND or is it all war propaganda made to appear real because Tom Hanks wrote the screenplay and it’s in the theatre which makes the WWII event creditable? The number say that this is all smoke and mirrors with the aid of some obvious mockery if you believe that a torpedo can sink a ship during WWII. Great CGI which can recreate any environment that movie makers can dream up. A creditable performance by Tom Hanks backed up by a good supporting cast and CGI realism.
